# Share

> Share the bird you're looking at with friends.

Each bird in BirdTab has a dedicated species page on [birdtab.app](https://birdtab.app). The Share feature lets you copy a link or post directly to social platforms.

## Opening the share menu

Click the **share icon** in the bird info panel or toolbar. A small popup appears with sharing options. Press **Escape** or click outside to close it.

## Share options

    Copies the species URL to your clipboard (e.g. `birdtab.app/species/norfli`). The button briefly changes to "Copied!" to confirm.

    Opens a pre-filled tweet in a popup window with the bird's name and species page URL.
  </Card>

  <Card title="Facebook" icon="facebook">
    Opens the Facebook share dialog in a popup window with the species page URL.
  </Card>

  <Card title="WhatsApp" icon="whatsapp">
    Opens a WhatsApp share with the bird name and URL pre-filled. Works on desktop and mobile.

## Species pages

Each species page on birdtab.app shows the bird photo, name, and key facts — the same content you see in BirdTab. Pages are pre-rendered and load instantly, making them easy to share.
