# Footer Banner (Chrome)

> Why you may see a bottom banner on Chrome new tabs and how to hide it.

If you see a banner at the bottom of your new tab page, that is Chrome's own footer (not a BirdTab UI element).

<img src="https://mintcdn.com/birdtab/mMS_-hy5jDGR5gcB/images/screenshots/chrome-footer.jpg?fit=max&auto=format&n=mMS_-hy5jDGR5gcB&q=85&s=8b046881ba392ad231fd14950f895594" alt="Chrome new tab footer banner with menu option to hide it" style={{ borderRadius: '0.5rem' }} width="1024" height="618" data-path="images/screenshots/chrome-footer.jpg" />

## How to hide it

1. Right-click the footer banner at the bottom of the page.
2. Select **Hide Footer on New Tab Page**.

## Why this appears

This footer is controlled by Chrome. Availability and wording can vary by Chrome version.
