By default, BirdTab loads bird photos at **1200px**. Pro users can switch to **2400px** — nearly double the detail. The difference is most visible on large monitors and high-DPI displays.

## Resolution comparison

| Setting  | Resolution | Best for                              |
| -------- | ---------- | ------------------------------------- |
| Standard | 1200px     | Most screens, faster loading          |
| High-res | 2400px     | Large monitors, Retina/HiDPI displays |

<Tip>
  On a metered or slow connection, leave high-res off and enable it when on Wi-Fi. BirdTab preloads the next day's bird in the background to offset load time.
