Every bird photo in BirdTab is 2400px wide. There’s no setting to turn on: high-resolution images are what every new tab shows.
Why it matters
The extra detail is most visible on large monitors and high-density (Retina/HiDPI) displays, where feathers, eyes, and textures stay crisp at full screen.
Fast loading
High resolution doesn’t mean slow tabs. While you look at one bird, BirdTab quietly downloads the next one in the background, so the following new tab opens quickly.
Some photos are resized from the original for display. When that happens, the photo credit details show a Resized from original tag; hover over the photo credit to see it.
