If you see a banner at the bottom of your new tab page, that is Chrome’s own footer (not a BirdTab UI element). Chrome new tab footer banner with menu option to hide it

How to hide it

  1. Right-click the footer banner at the bottom of the page.
  2. Select Hide Footer on New Tab Page.

Why this appears
