BirdTab keeps a log of every bird displayed in your new tab. The history panel lets you browse them all, see when you last viewed each one, and jump to eBird for more information.

Opening history

Click the options button and select History from the menu.

What’s shown

Photo & name

Thumbnail of the bird alongside its common name and scientific name.

Region

The region your bird setting was set to when you saw this bird.

Relative time

When you saw it — “2 hours ago”, “yesterday”, “3 days ago”. Updates in real time while the panel is open.

eBird link

Opens the full species page on eBird for more information.

Clearing history

Click Clear all at the top of the history panel to remove the entire log.
Clearing history cannot be undone.

Storage

History is stored locally on your device and is not synced across devices. If you use BirdTab on multiple browsers or computers, each maintains its own separate history.
